Stung by the criticisms from the opposition parties, Salobreña Town Hall recommenced work on the main town entrance roundabout.
The removal of the electricity pylon took place in darkness; tricky stuff as this line feeds half the town. The now-buried line will serve the projected bus station when it is eventually built.
The Councillor for Public Works, Javier Ortega, was very visible, suitably and impressively adorned with a hardhat. He explained that the reason behind the removal of the pylon/transformer was owing to the complexity of the operation, which was carried out according to the protocol established by Sevillana-Endesa.
Meanwhile, with the bank holiday in full swing, the bereft roundabout sports the brick layout for a centre feature.
