Dial Away Your Water Problems

The Nerja Councillor for Infrastructure, Antonio García, and the manager of the water utility company, Aguas de Narixa, Juan Ángel Poyatos, have announced a new telephone helpline.

Residents will now be able to sort out all their water problems and paperwork via 900 813 810. Callers will be able to sign up or sign off a water-supply contract, change the holder’s name on a contract and pay water bills, from Monday to Friday, 08.00h to 20.00h. 900 813 810 is also the number to report water-supply problems, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

But there is also another number 900 813 820 which is for phoning in your water-meter readings; again 365 days of the year.

The Manger of the water-utility company, Juan Ángel Poyatos, pointed out that foreign house owners can now solve their problems even when they’re back in their country of origin.

At the moment, the service has been under trial since the 1st of April and even though its existence has not been mentioned in the press, they have received over 300 calls already, as users are receiving the information through the door.
