The Mayor, Luisa García Chamorro, has visited Oleaje Playa Granada, which is a ‘leisure and gastronomic complex’ and has come away impressed. She considers that this new venture will be “a reference point for tourism,” and will “contribute to expanding Motril’s touristic offers and services.”
Oleaje Playa Granada is the fruit of public and private collaboration, with the ‘private’ contribution coming from several Motril businesses. In fact, 30 companies participated in its construction and it is hoped that it will generate 40 permanent jobs.
The architect for the project, Loreto Spa, thanked the Town Hall for supporting the project, saying that the partners in the enterprise and all those who will work in the complex will work towards Motril becoming a tourist destination.
Right, having got through the back patting, we come what and where Oleaje Playa Granada is… by its name you can guess that it is on Playa Granada, where it occupies a 1,300 sq/m plot right next to the beach. It has plenty of open spaces; ones destined for the use of children, and has the facilities for social events, such as weddings and business conventions.
The lower level has a terrace, bar and shallow swimming pool, whereas the upper level also has a bar and terrace with splendid views.
