A Room for the Noisy…

Motril is providing practice rooms for rock bands; such places are gold dust as any budding rocker will tell you.

The Mayor, Luisa García Chamorro, accompanied by the Councillor for Youth, Alfredo Ortega Tovar, signed a deal with four local rock bands, giving them the use of the camerinos (changing rooms) in the municipal fairground, for band practices.

The four groups are Buenas Noches, Daisy, Laberintho B, Sasi and de Cachemirs and The Gallardos.

Lucky gits! Mind you, having all your precious musical equipment concentrated in one spot might cause a few sleepless nights. Hmmm… Lucky Gits isn’t such a bad name for a band, now that I think about it…

Víctor López from the Laberintho B, signed the deal on behalf of the four groups, and expressed their combined gratitude for somewhere to practice; i.e., somewhere with a lockable door, an electricity supply and no decibel-allergic neighbours.

Perhaps one or several of the said groups will be offended by the term “rock band,” but as this publicity is free, stop your infernal whinging…

Almuñécar, are you listening?
