Crawler Competition

No, this has nothing to do with pandering! Almuñécar has just held the Andalusian Crawler Championships; i.e. radio-controlled 4×4 models.

Thirteen competitors from all over Andalucía took part, using these 1.9 & 2.2 scale models, coaxing them around obstacle courses. All told 26 R/C. vehicles ran the courses.

It was the Almuñécar club that organized it, whose club name is Sexy Crawler – an unfortunate choice of name, perhaps. They had three locals competing, who discreetly came in between 4th and 6th place.

The 1.9-scale category top three slots were won by competitors from the province of Jaén. The Almuñequero, Miguel Rodríguez came in fourth.

In the 2.2-scale category, competitors from the province of Málaga took the top four slots and the Almuñequeros, Roberto and Miguel came in 5th and 6th, respectively.

Lastly, it seems a bit mean not mentioning the names of the people who actually came in first in the two categories, even if they were smart arses from Jaén and Málaga, but this info was not included in the Town hall press release., sorry.

P.S.: Rumour has it that the last time the Ed did a 4×4 crawler was making his way home from his local…
