Punta Access Cleaned Up

Almuñécar Town Hall maintenance staff have been busy cleaning up the main entrance to the Punta de la Mona. The Comunidad de Propetarios pointed out several years ago that it is not their responsibility; hence the Town Hall finally getting round to it.

The attitude of the Comunidad is more than understandable as the said connection from the N-340 also serves the Marina del Este and Hotel Best Alcázar, which can hardly be considered part of the Punta (property-owner) Community Association.

The maintenance work being carried out is the cutting back of overgrown roadside vegetation with heavy-duty strimmers.

”We are going to give this road the attention it deserves, after so many years of being left unattended, for one motive or the other, as it is the access road for the [east end of] La Herradura beach, Marina del Esta, as well as other places of interest,” explained the First Councillor for the village, Sr. Ruiz.
