Wifi Grows

MotrilWifi is now available to locals in open spaces and municipal buildings. Mayor Carlos Rojas announced that five areas in town – the Town Hall, Plaza de España, Plaza de la Coronación, Parque 28 de febrero, and Parque de los Pueblos de América – are already hooked up for free Internet access, with the idea to open up more parts of town soon.

Rojas said it was important to bring citizens closer to the new technologies.

To connect all you have to do is go to www.emotril.es and solicit a user name and password (or alternatively visit the offices of the Municipal District or Information & Registrar).

The service does not allow using P2P programs or apps like Skype. The project also plans to develop communication lines between the different Municipal offices via fibre-optics and Wifi. All in all a step forward to world domination by Motril!
