El Parque Mediterraneo, which is situated where the old Galera used to stand in Taramay (between Hotel Playacálida and el Pozuelo (Restaurante Iguana) is a pleasure to behold, with its new trees, bushes, cacti and plants.
The third and last phase, between Playas Calabajío and Cabria is set to go ahead with a 30.000 budget, fruit of a regional subvention.
The latest project is for a park around the Roman Aqueducts in Río Seco. Anybody who has chanced upon them for the first time could only wonder at these ‘forgotten monuments.’ Well, forgotten no more, as work has already begun to clear, by hand, the undergrowth – more next month on this with photos.
