A pub in Salobreña put up posters promoting a party with a nude waitress and a raffle ticket with every drink for “sexual relations” with her.

The party was set for the 10th of August in a pub situated on the ground floor of a block of flats in Salobreña. It would have been packed but the block committee got hold of one of the posters and all hell broke lose, naturally.

Needless to say, the party never took place and we can assume that the waitress was clothed when the said night came around.

Everybody holding any political position condemned it for being denigrating to women, sexist and despicable. The Policía Local were dispatched to the pub and the owners were told in no uncertain terms that they could forget about the party

The Coordinator for Fiestas at the said pub, Contrapunto, Miguel Ángel Cortés, apologised to all those that the poster had offended. He also says that he had been badly advised upon the legality of such a party.

Miguel, however, for the price of a few dozen posters announcing a party that would never be held, made a killing in publicity, though, didn’t he… clever sod!
