Flu Jabs Available

The Almuñécar Centro de Salud announced that the flu jab and a Covid booster are available for people of 80 and over.

The campaign for the fourth Covid Jab, which will be for people over 80 living in retirement homes, will commence on the 26th of this month.

The Minister for Public Health for the Junta de Andalucia, Jesús Aguirre, has stated that the immunity coverage for over 60s is dropping.

People over 80 belong to the population segment that is leading contagion figures, despite already having full vaccine coverage.

The Junta de Andalucía intends to have everybody 80 or over vaccinated,at least with their first jab, by the 10th of this month.

There is a frustrating lack of available vaccines in most Granada health districts; they’re just not arriving as they should.

Today is the first day of vaccinations for people of 80 or over, bringing the commencement forward from the 1st of March.
