At the moment, the Almunecar Town Hall has an Atención a Los Consumidores y Usuarias service, thanks to an agreement with the Unión de Consumidores de Granada (UCA). This service is basically a citizens’ Advice Bureau; i.e., somewhere where people can obtain information concerning their rights as consumers and lodge complaints against abuses.

Dead Dolphin on Salobrena Beach

The carcass of a large dolphin was washed up onto one of Salobrena’s beaches yesterday. The Spanish name is delfin calderon but is known as a Risso’s dolphin, (grampus griseus) after the chap who first described them in 1812.
