Almost 100 Pupils and five teachers from the secondary school in Salobreña staged an all-night sit in inside the school before setting off the next day to join the protest march in the city of Granada, joining up with the university students. The parents association supported this initiative.

Motril and neighbouring ward, Torrenueva, don’t enjoy the best relationship, and in a dispute over funds owing, seven Torrenueveños neighbours, including the mayor, had locked themselves in the Motril Town Hall.
