Lobres Lives It Up

Don’t forget that up in ‘Megaville’ Lobres they will be celebrating their annual fiestas from Saturday the 10th until Monday the 13th in honour of San Antonio – Tony, to his mates.
Mind you, Monday doesn’t have anything happening, except for a Mass at 8pm – best not to attend that one if you are expecting a pint and a punch-up.

Go Ahead Given

Salobrena has formally approved the Old Folks Home plan in Lobres. Isabel Correa, councilwoman for the area, remarked that the plan was first touted a year ago, and has had to pass through various difficulties before it could be approved, but now finally it can go ahead which she is very happy about.

Shivering Lobres

Poor little sods over at the Lobres primary school, CP Cervantes sit shivering, wearing their coats and scarves in their classrooms because the wiring in the building makes it impossible to use electric heating. Whose the bright spark behind that, you may ask.

Nicky and John Euesden are fronting a brilliant new project in Lobres, which will see the construction of a Care & Rehabilitation Centre in the town. With tenders out for the construction work, things are really moving ahead.
