Taxi drivers in Motril are not happy over the Town Hall’s decision to increase the number of taxi licences available within the municipality.
After 18 years of wrangling between the Nerja Town Hall and the company that ran an old quarry, an agreement will see rusting machinery finally removed from the site.
The owner of the chiringuito that is being built on La Herradura beach states that they have all the necessary licences to open its doors once finished.
Following on from a motion by the Motril IU party, the Town Hall has set up a commission to look into the Chiringuito Oleaje licence. The said motion had been passed unanimously.
The Nerja Town Hall is carrying out its blitz of terrace seating for bars and restaurants. The campaign to put some sort of order into the situation began in July and so far the Servicios Operativos Municipales have removed 23 tables and 72 chairs from one particular business in town.
The Town Hall was ‘forced’ to shut the road from La Caleta to La Guardia at Cuesta Caracho at the beginning of the week, owing to a burst water main.
