Underwater Photography Competition

A total of 54 divers divided by 27 separate teams competed to provide the most spectacular subaquatic photos in La Herradura Bay, as part of the commemoration for 450th anniversary of the shipwrecking of the Spanish Fleet in the Bay.

Two Nadfas Lectures for March

Nadfas has two lectures lined up for March. One concerns the varied architecture of Cuba and the other will be given on the Spanish painter, Joaquin Sorolla.

Joaquin in the Park

Don’t forget that Joaquin from Chambao de Joaquin will be strutting his stuff in Majuelo Park in Almuñécar on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of this month. He will be making his usual giant paella in such a way that only Joaquin can.

Baracoa Fundraiser

Joaquín from El Chambao de Joaquín held his annual fund-raising event on July 23rd and 24th at Plaza Nueva in La Herradura. From what I have been told, the fund-raiser was to assist the town of Baracoa in Cuba with funding for social installations such as schools and hospitals.
