Mountain Fire in Cañar

A huge catastrophe was narrowly avoided by the prompt action of the Infoca, fire fighters in Cañar, in the Alpujarra on the 2nd. As is the case in far too many forest or mountain brush fires, it appears that the fire was deliberately started.

Ten Pigs in a Van

The Guardia Civil in Sevilla arrested a Romanian with ten stolen pigs in his van; he allegedly stole them from a pig farm. Well, he wouldn’t steal them from a poultry farm, would he… Just saying.

Suitcase Passenger

A Moroccan Man and a Spanish woman were arrested after hiding a 13-year-old girl in a suitcase of 70cm x 50cm, amongst their car luggage. The couple were had arrived in Spain via the Melilla-Málaga ferry.
