Scruffs Success in Torrox

The first of this year’s annual Costa Animal Society dog shows took place on May 26 and raised 1,950 euros for the charity. Scruffs Torrox 2012 was held at the Andale Riding Centre and attracted 49 dogs who were judged in 11 classes.

False Deaf-Mute Thieves

The Policía Local in Almuñécar want to put the town’s residents on alert over the presence of a gang of pick-pocket thieves that masquerade as deaf mutes and have been operating in the town centre.

Fire in Los Pinos

The Almuñécar fire service had to deal with a small fire on the Urbanización Los Pinos today. Resident were temporarily evacuated from their houses.
