Five people, however, were hurt suffering minor injuries (three with hearing issues and two with very minor burns) after a routine, controlled-burn got out of control in the designated burning-ground area.
Emergency services, local firefighters, and multiple specialised police units deployed – including TEDAX bomb-disposal teams who swept the area for residual risks. The police also placed a very wide cordoned-off perimeter and shut down local traffic, The emergency response also put two, general-hospitals on pre-alert.
Finally, after workers had been accounted for during a courtyard headcount, and the injured had been evactuated, a small, brush fire just outside the burning area was quickly put out, and the scene cleared by 12:45h
