Granada-Valencia Air Link

Vueling has launched a new route from Granada Airport to Valencia and the fairs & prices are now available on their webpage. But don’t rush off to Granada Airport just yet becauses the first flight is scheduled for the 30th of March next year.

The Valencia flights will run three days a week; Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There is some confusions whether there flights are on Fridays or Thursdays, but one thing is for certain, from the 14th of June until the 15th of September, there will only be two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Fairs will cost starting from 97 euros. If you fly out on Tuesday the departure time is 22.05h, arriving at 23.10h. Coming back on Saturday, you take off at 20.20h and land in Granada at 21.30h. If you include luggage the return trip will cost 193.96 euros.

The Provincial Council was determined to have Granada connected with the east coast (Levante), which has been missing until now and which is why the Council put out to tender for such a connection with a grant of 450,000 euros. The route will be operative for a period of three years

There is another new air route on the cards which a connection between Granada and Luton (London) which will come on line starting on the 27th of October, apparently. Luton, unfortunately, is a packed lunch and a 3-day camel trek for anbody living to the south of the Thames. Vueling’s flights from Granada to Bilbao also return after an absence during summer, on the 25th of October; fairs are available starting at 60 euros which get you chance to touch the undercarriage tyres before being shooed away….
