A lad in his late teens came off his electric scooter on Tuesday in Motril and was seriously hurt.
The accident occured around 15.00h on the Rambla de Las Brujas lanes that run down the side of it, travelling up from the beach in direction of the town centre.

The 18-year-old was riding by himself but without a helmet and hit his head, suffering as a consequence serious head injuries.
He was rushed to Hospital Santa Ana in Motril where he was first examined but because of the seriousness of his head injuries it was decided to send him by an especially equipped ambulance to the Hospital de Neuro-Traumatología in Granada, which specialised in brain injuries and tumours.

During daylight is bad enough, but last night in Malaga there were dozens of ‘kids’, many two up, most in dark clothing, just dashing around. We only saw one wearing a helmet. If they knew how difficult it was to see them, especially when they are doing ‘unexpected’ manoeuvres, they might take more care. I have a dash-cam, mainly for my own protection should I have the misfortune to hit one of them due to their actions.
