Salobreña Town Hall carried out a preventive task last month aimed at guaranteeing safety in several areas of the municipality by removing or pruning pine trees at risk of falling.
The company, Trasisa, was hired by the Junta de Andalucía for the task and work began on Monday the 22nd.
The areas where trees were cut down or simply had unstable branches removed were the Rambla de Molvízar, Cota 100, and Monte de los Almendros, where around thirty pine trees needed sorting out.
Obviously, where trees are located at the side of roads, there have been temporary traffic interruptions, so drivers just had to be patient, or warned beforehand by neighbours, to take a different route.
Finally, as it was calculated that the task would take about three weeks, the operation is still ongoing.
