A woman in the village of Chite in the Valle de Lecrín was badly injured after falling through a gap in a roof-room floor.

The accident took place on Calle Santísima Trinidad on Friday the 15th a little before 11.00h, which was the time that a phone call was received, according to the press release issued by the Emergency Coordination Centre, 112.

The emergency centre despatched an ambulance, the Guardia Civil and fire-department personnel, as well as an air-ambulance helicopter, which landed on a nearby heliport.

She was taken to the Hospital de Neutrotraumatología del Virgen de las Nieves.
