A body was found on Playa El Ruso within the municipality of Albuñol on Monday afternoon.

The dead person was discovered around 19.00h in an area of rocks at the end of the said beach.

The emergency coordination centre, 112, despatched the Guardia Civil but given that where the body was lying being inaccessible, the Guardia Civil, mountain-rescue helicopter was called in for the task.

The Guardia Civil are looking into whether the body belongs to one of those that drowned on March the 15th in a failed landing using a RIB near a beach in Gualchos-Castell de Ferro where three bodies were recovered from the sea.
