Two workers were injured in Motril on Friday after being hit on the head by a beam.

According to the emergency coordination Centre, 112, the accident occurred around 16.00h on a worksite along the Carretera de La Celulosa, which is the backroad between the N-340 and Playa Granada.

Emergency services, including an ambulance, the Policía Nacional and Policia Local, were despatched to the scene of the accident. Both workers were taken to Hospital Santa Ana.

It’s not clear if the men were wearing safety helmets at the time or to the severity of their injuries
