The Guardia Civil confiscated half a kilo of MDMA and 207 grams of Speed after stopping a car on the A-44 where it passes through the municipality of Vélez de Benaudalla.

There were two men in the car, one aged 31 and the other 34, and both have been charged with Public Health Offences/Trafficking in narcotic drugs.

The traffic police had set up a routine check point at kilometre point 175 on the 21st of this month and had pulled over a ‘suspicious car with two male occupants.’ With the individuals looking more nervous than a turkey at Christmas, they decided to search the vehicle.

They found a white package under the seat of the front passenger containing two transparent, vaccumed-packed bags (See photo above).

One of the men, upon being asked, confirmed that the packages contained the before-mentioned drugs, so they were taken to the Salobreña Guardia Civil post to be charged.
