Motril Councilor for Culture, Miguel Ángel Muñoz Pino, announced the upcoming jazz concert in the Teatro Calderón on Saturday the 17th at 20:00h.
The jazz formation, Kanajazz, will re-interpret classics from genres such as funk, soul, bolero, pop, and bossa nova, “filtering all pieces through the lens of jazz to offer an original and immersive musical proposal.”

Councillor Muñoz Pino also took the opportunity to remark on the success of the recent New Year’s concert at the Teatro Calderón, where the Odisse Spain Orchestra and other performances, such as by local Flamenco duet, Alejandro Gargón and María Cristina filled the theater.
Returning to Kanajazz, the group consists of José Luis Jaén (vocals), Aure Ortega (piano), Antonio de Haro (bass), Ángel Elull (guitar), Diego de Haro (drums), and Alberto Porlán (guitar and vocals).
Tickets are on sale on www.giglon.com and at the theatre box office from 10:00h to 13:00h. Entrance tickets are nine euros for the stalls and orchestra seats, and 6 euros for the boxes and gallery.
