The Junta de Andalucía plans to officially take delivery of the new Salobreña Centro de Salud building some time this month.

The Minister of Health at the Junta, Antonio Sanz, said that they are looking at an inauguration “in the coming months.”

The Junta has allocated over 60-million euros from the 2026 Regional Budget for several public-health infrastructures in the province, including the Albuñol Centro de Salud, which has already been received and is currently being equipped, and the North Building of the Hospital Santa Ana Hospital. 

Regarding the construction of the hospital’s North Building, the Junta reported just over a month ago that it is progressing steadily and that the works have passed the halfway point of the initial phase, which is focused on raising the structural skeleton of the new building.

With a budget of nearly 15-million euros (nine million for facilities and six million for equipment) completion is expected in May 2027.
