The Motril Policía Local have launched a campaign targeting electric scooters, aiming at the correct use of these vehicles.
The campaign also includes bicycles as it wants users of both forms of transport to use them responsibly.

The police point out that electric-scooter riders have to use roads and never pedestrian pavements or pedestrian-areas streets.
The use of music headphones are strictly forbidden when riding along, just as is the use of mobile phones whilst in motion is.
Furthermore, electric scooter riders can be stopped and breathalyed but the use of helmets is only “recommended.” Lastly, you can’t have somebody on the back of one, meaning that only one person can use it.
Failure to comply with any of these obligations will result in the whole family being rounded up and shot just after teatime and then sent to Siberia… or was it the opposite way round?
