This weekend, despite it still only being late spring, will see temperatures of 40ºC in some places in the Province of Granada and Andalucía in general.
For this reason, the Spanish Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued an Orange Alert for the city of Granada, its metropolitan area and the Poniente (western Granada, such as Loja). This alert will be active from 13.00h to 21.00h today.

The north of the province and the north-west (Guadix-Baza) has a Yellow Alert where temperatures of 38-39ºC are expected.
But it is not only daytime temperatures that will be uncomfortable because during the night in these areas they are not expected to go below 23-24ºC on Sunday and Monday night.
Temperatures are expected to go down slightly by Wednesday.
Almería will escape these high temperatures but Cádiz and Málaga will be under Yellow Alert, whilst , like Granada, there are Orange Alerts for Córdoba, Huelva, Jaén and Sevilla.
Which leaves us with the Costa Tropical, where, the highs during today will be 25-26ºC and the nighttime lows of 22-23ºC. Tomorrow has highs of 26 (Almuñécar) to 29 (Motril) and lows of 23-24ºC
Enjoy!
