With almost 20 stands belonging to restaurants and bars in Almuñécar and La Herradura, the yearly Fería Gastronómica concludes today, so this is your last chance.
This 26th annual, local-food-promotion event is being held in the Parque Botánico El Majuelo and is organised by the Town Hall and the Asociación de Hosteleros del Valle Tropical.

It is a chance to sample what local eating houses have on offer, and if you like a particular dish on offer, why not visit the bar or restaurant that produced it?
It’s not all hot food, either, because ice-cream parlours and vintiers also have stands there, so there is a wide range of things to sample.
The Department of Commerce belonging to the Town Hall presented a plaque to José Muñoz, who runs the Heladería Daniel, and who is also one of the many local businesses that make this gastronomic event possible.
What this year includes for the first time are stands, put up by Ecomercado, Denominación de Origen de la Chirimoya and Denominación de Origen Cariñena, which is a twinned Italian town with Almuñécar.
Sunday is the second and final day and will conclude after lunch, probably around five.
