Buses that do the northern suburb of Granada route have sporadically suffered from having stones thrown at them, which leads to them being assigned police escorts.
Yes, the north of the city of Granada is the Wild West and if you were to park there overnight, you’ll probably find that somebody has exchanged your wheels for house bricks.

The Councillor for Citizen Safety, Ana Agudo, admitted that on Tuesday night several city buses had stones thrown at them. She said this in answer to the question from the far-right, Vox councillor concerning the situation in the Distrito Norte.
Councillor Agudo explained that officers from the Policía Local give talks in schools in that area about what risks this activity can create but she was not very convinced, it seems, that it was working.
“We get the impression that those who do this consider it a game (dare) despite the chats given in the classrooms, so this isn’t going to see the problem solved rapidly,” she replied.
But, of course, it is not the first time that the Bus-Stoning Olympics has taken place in this conflictive area of the city, as towards the end of last year, the bus company decided that they would change the bus times on this route to avoid ‘lapidation.’ The police not only tried to catch the culprits but also escorted the buses through the area during the dicey times of the evening.
