The Environmental Councillor for Almuñécar, Lucía González, explained that Barrio San Sebastian has a new waste-management system.
She said that it aims improve efficiency, increasing the volume of recycling, making the comfort of the residents better.
This project has two phases:
Phase One: the placing of new containers for organic waste on Carretera del Suspiro del Moro, Calle Ingenio Real and Calle Federico García Lorca. Therefore, locals on these streets must use them for their domestic, organic waste.
Phase Two: Hostages will be taken and those who are found not using zee bins will be shot… Ah, sorry, that’s Motril.
No, Phase Two will begin on the 7th with the rounding up…. sorry… with San Sebastian being the pioneer barrio of Almuñécar having take-and-place containers at three different points where all rubbish should be left, thus avoiding rubbish being left out on the streets in front of houses.
Calle Los Porches, Calle Chirimoya, Calle Guayaba, Calle Forestal, Calle Filodendros, Calle Ingenio Real Alto, Calle Cañadú and Calle Ermita will come under this scheme.
Councillor Lucía González has called on the cooperation of locals in San Sebastian to participate… or else!
