A Guardia Civil Tráfico patrol stopped a car on the A-7 where it goes through Salobreña - coming down the hill from the tunnel before you get to the Río Guadalfeo bridge.
This occurred on the the 4th of this month around 14.00h. The officers saw that the driver had committed a driving offense and pulled him over on the off-ramp for Lobres.
When they told the two occupants; two men aged 46 and 56, why they had been stopped, the officers noticed that they were behaving nervously, so they decided to search the car.
They found two large, black-plastic, rubbish bags in the boot with 14 kilos of marihuana between them in vacuum-packed packages.
The men and the drugs were taken to the Salobreña Guardia Civil posts where they were formally charged.
