A couple decide to hold their civil wedding on top of El Peñon del Santo in Almuñécar, which has spectacular views of the town's beaches on either side.

The Bridegroom, Juanjo is from Almuñécar although he lives elsewhere now but returns to spend his summer holidays there, which is why he suggested such a spot. His wife, Angelines, agreed that it was a perfect spot and the ceremony was held at the top on a perfectly sunny day... but not too hot.

Councillor Lucía González, officiated the ceremony, as requested by the couple and all went without a hitch.

Not only were family and friends present to see them ‘tying the knot’ but also in silent testimony were the dozens of padlocks placed by couples in love on the railing around the rock-top terrace.
