The Guardia Civil arrested a 20-year-old man on Thursday, accused of stabbing his own mother to death.
The incident took place on Wednesday around 21.20h in As Neves (Pontevedra, Galicia). The accused apparently stabbed his 60-year-old mother at home and then locked himself in his room.
When the Guardia Civil arrested him, they first took him to Hospital Álvaro Cunqueiro, as he also had cuts to his body.
The As Neves Town Hall organised a minute’s silence yesterday at noon in front of the Town Hall building.
Editorial comment: There is a strong notion of fate when a woman gives birth to the very person who kill her decades later.
