Yesterday saw yet another accident in Granada involving a metro tram and a road vehicle.
The tram hit the car side on and dragged it several metres before coming to a halt. There were two people in the car and a result of the impact, the 50-year-old passenger had to be cut out of the car by fire personnel.

Once freed he was taken to Hospital Traumatologia (Virgen de Las Nieves) in the centre of the city.
The accident had taken place around 11.45h on a roundabout where Avenida Federico García Lorca meets Avenida de la Argentinita, which is just behind the bus station.
Obviously, with this being a busy junction, the Policía Local had their work cut out for them directing the traffic, with the stationary tram, fire trucks and an ambulance parked on the roundabout through necessity causing long tail backs.
During the early afternoon, a Spokesperson for the Metro de Granada said that they had established partial services on the line between Albolote and the bus station, as well as between La Caleta and Armilla.
The Policía Local are investigating the accident.
Editorial comment: drivers who are not used to trams and their having priority are often caught out where tram lines cut across roundabouts.
