The Policía Nacional in Motril were called in to rescue a baby from the inside of a car after the mother accidentally left the keys inside and couldn't get the baby out.
The car was parked at one of the shopping centres at the entrance to Motril coming from Salobreña; the one where Burger King and Mercandona are.

It was three in the afternoon with a temperature of 35ºC and more within the car, which was parked in the sun as there is no shade in this parking area.
The keys had dropped inside the car as she was placing her 21-month-old baby in its baby, car seat and when she closed the back door to open the driver’s door, she couldn’t, as it had automatically locked all the doors.
The officers had no alternative other than to smash a side window to gain entrance to the vehicle.
The child was none the worse for wear and required just some rehydration in the form of a drink of water.
