Fifteen kilos of marihuana were discovered in a hotel in Granada, where the emergency services had been called out to tackle a small fire.
The fire, which occurred around 15.40h on the 15th of last month and was located in one of the rooms, had caused notable damage by the time that fire personnel had arrived to put it out.
However, the Policía Local whilst inspecting the room came across boxes with sealed packages inside. They also found precision scales in the room.
Upon closer inspection the wrapped packages were found to contain marihuana. Consequently, the two hotel guests that were using the room, a 20-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, were arrested. Both have been charged with offences against public health.
