Three people were injured by an explosion in a helicopter on the ground belonging to the 061 air-ambulance service.

The incident occurred Saturday afternoon when a patient was being transferred to the helicopter on a football ground in Cabra (Córdoba).

According to the Ministry of Health belonging to the Junta de Andalucía, of the three people injured, two suffered slight injuries whilst the third, the patient who was going to be evacuated by helicopter, suffered second-degree burns.

It is still not known what caused the explosion within the helicopter.
