An off-duty, Guardia Civil officer died after being stung by a wasp whilst he was using a strimmer on his land.
This occurred on Wednesday the 7th in Villaquejida in Castilla-Leon.

The 53-year-old man J.M.N., had working on a small vineyard in the afternoon but by nighttime, his family began to worry if something had happened to him, so at two in the morning, they decided to go and look for him.
They found his dead body amongst the vines. His family and his fellow officers knew that he was allegic to bee and wasp stings.
Needless to say the village with its 800 inhabitants was shocked by this fatality, explained the Mayor, David Gómez, as he was well liked in the village and his family usually spent the summer there.
“I don’t understand how such a small creature can takes somebody’s life,” lamented the Mayor.
