Down on the Costa Tropical a man  disguised as Spiderman carried out a burglary.

Consequently, the Guardia Civil have arrested a 58-year-old man, suspected of stealing… a bottle of water from a closed bar.

This occurred in Castell de Ferro yesterday. It is more than likely that his idea of a decent booty was not just a bottle of water (despite the heat) but he had set off the alarm and decided to flee the scene… without scaling (non-existent) skyscrapers or tangling  (non-existent) pursuing police officers in his stick-web dispensers!

No matter that the only thing stolen was a bottle of water, because he did break into an establishment and cause damage to the vending machine where the bottle was on display.

His actions were captured on CCTV and despite his cunning disguise, just his physique gave the officers based in Castell de Ferro a good idea who it might be. Furthermore, in the images it can be seen that he injured himself.

The suspect, who has a criminal record and a modus-operandi of using disguises, was arrested. Apart from being a known bad lad, he had injuries that corresponded to those seen on the CCTV.
