Jumps to Escape Fire

A man in Granada was injured when he was forced to jump from his balcony because of a flat fire in his building.

The fire broke out in a first-floor flat of a ten-storey building on Calle Periodista Luis de Vicente in the early hours of yesterday morning in the northern part of the city.

The North-Granada Fire Station had to send all of its duty shift to tackle the fire, arriving around 06.00h. 

Once there, they had to rescue three other people; one who was sheltering on the stairs and two from their apartments. All three were having breathing difficulties.

The man who jumped (we don’t know from which floor) was taken to hospital complaining of intense pain in his knees:
