The accident occurred around ten in the evening on the 22nd in the town of Fuentidueña del Tajo, (Madrid) on Calle Seis within the Urbanización Alarilla.

The first ambulance was sent from Tarancón (Toledo) as the accident was near its provincial border, with one from Madrid arriving shortly after.

The paramedics carried out Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation on the 12-year-old during an hour at which point they desisted. The other girl, her 13-year-old friend, was taken immediately to hospital in a serious condition.

The Guardia Civil in Madrid are in charge of investigating the accident. It should be noted that minors of that age are not allowed to ride quads nor mopeds.
