The Axarquía, Leoni Benabú Aerodrome, situated next to the Trapiche in Vélez-Málaga is putting on a model-aircraft exhibition this weekend.

One of the models can reach 300 kph and has a wingspan of three metres, so model yes; small no.

Model-aeroplane enthusiast from several countries will be present to fly their ‘birds’ at this Festival Aguacate Model Airshow III which will be held from today, the 26th to Sunday the 28th, with Saturday being the big day – let’s hope the weather holds!

Besides the best models doing aerobatics on Saturday, David Tejeiro will also lay on a paraglider display.

But that’s no all because some of those pilots that have light aircraft at the aerodrome will also put on an aerobatic dislpay.

Entrance is free and there will also be an aeronautic flea market, as well as other activities.
