For this reason, they are asking for volunteers. The meeting point is the Almuñécar bus station at 10.00h. They have even organised a free bus to bring volunteers down from Granada, leaving at 08.30 from the gasolinera in front of the IES (high school) Manuel de Falla in Maracena.
The search for 87-year-old Francisco Pérez Bedmar will be coordinated by the Guardia Civil. Francisco went out for a walk along Playa Cotobro at eight in the evening on Friday the 22nd of March.
He has not been seen since nine o’clock that same evening in front of the hotel on the said beach. He was wearing a baseball cap and sports clothes. He was not carrying his mobile nor wallet.
The Guardia Civil have carried out searches on land, as well as using divers off the beach. They have used air units, too. Also involved in the search operations were the Almuñécar fire service, as well as personnel from the Granada fire service, and divers from the diving clubs in Marina del Este.
