Cows on the Slopes

Something that you don't expect to encounter, as you hurtle down a ski slope on Sierra Nevada, is a small herd of cows sharing in the fun.

GRA SN Cows on the Slopes DC23This occurred on Thursday when a group of about five cows came up to a slope, thought about it, and then decided to cross over it, leaving skiers dodging them or just pulling to a halt and staring at this unlikely apparition.

Fortunately, somebody with their mobile recorded it and the video ended up in the hands of the ski school Telemark, who posted it on social media.

Remaining on the subject of the ski station, yesterday a slope was opened up for night skiing, thanks to the flood lighting along its course. We’re talking about El Río Ski Slope.

The cable car, Al-Andalus, will be operative between 19.00h and 21.30h for those who want to try out this very popular experience.

In the meantime, the snow cannons are busily working, as there has been no new snowfall.
