Sierra Nevada opened up El Río ski slope last weekend, which connects the Borreguiles area with the ski-resort village, Pradollano.
Simultaneously, the ski resort opened up El Zorro, an intermediate blue-slope also in the Borreguiles area.
The snow-coverage report for last weekend said there were a total of nine slopes, making 11 skiable kilometres giving a difference in height (from top to bottom) of 925 metres.
Finally, the chair lift, Stadium, came into service last Friday for the first time this season, giving the ski station one cable car (Borreguiles), five chair lifts (Stadium, Emile Allais, Alhambra, Veleta and Parador) and two practice areas for beginners (Borreguiles and El Bosque).
