Two teenagers stole the effigy of Baby Jesus from a Nativity display in Alicante and are holding him to ransom!

This happened in Sant Vicent del Raspeig and the sum demanded is 2,000 euros… or else!

The kidnappers, using the username of Secuestradores [kidnappers] de San Vicente, have posted their ransom note on Tiktok and are demanding the money not from the Virgin Mary nor Joseph but rather the municipal police.

They uploaded a video of themselves with the victim between them and surrounded by 10 and 20-euro notes. They also accused the Policía Local of not taking good care of Baby Jesus.

The video also includes the actual kidnapping of the victim from where the nativity scene is set up, between Calle Pintor Sorolla and Calle Lillo Juan and bundling Baby Jesus into the boot of a car.

Well, the Town Hall is not pleased and have instructed the various police forces present within the municipality to bring this episode to conclusion rapidly – no mention of paying the ransom was mentioned, however.

Editorial comment: the question is, will Baby Jesus suffer from the Stockholm Syndrome if the kidnapping is prolonged? On a more serious note, we don’t think that they would try that with a representation of the Islamic faith – call it a hunch.
