More Costa Housing for Motril

Motril Town Council has just approved the construction of over 80 new dwellings on Playa Granada.

MOT New Playa Granada Housing ProjectThe new housing project, which has a budget of 5.5m euros and an execution period of 15 months, will go up on 14,000 sq/m and will include 89 dwellings, 95 parking spaces, gardened areas and a kiddies’ play park.

Mayor Luisa García Chamorro has expressed her “satisfaction” after announcing this private investment within the municipality behind the building project, which will go up along Calle Rector Federico Mayor Zaragoza.

Vice-Mayor Nicolás Navarro pointed out a “notable increase” along Motril’s coastline in the last year, whilst emphasising the Town Halls “drive” to improve services and infrastructure, especially for the 300 dwellings in the Mar de Fabiola.

On a different note, Vice-Mayor Navarro said that preparations for the installation of a new mobile-phone mast are underway.

Still more housing. All private I assume. No social type housing as part of any agreed plan. Kiddies park. Very small for safety. Nice walk to the beach at Playa Granada and of course golf.

But without a car you’re knackered. Not many busses for the shops. I don’t count the bars and ice-cream shops in the small parade. A mini Mercadona would make a killing. So then; 89 so far agreed homes. Just a tad more effluent to add to the highly organised system.
Along of course with the 500 bedded two Salobrena/Playa Granada beach frontage. Doctors surgeries and schools. Who cares.
