The trial concerning the spending of public money on brothels that should have gone to training the unemployed has concluded.
The Sevilla Provincial Court sentenced Fernando Villén, who was the former Head of the Andalusian Foundation Fund for Training and Employment (Faffe) to six years in prison.
He was found guilty of using official bank cards to the tune of 32,566 euros, spent in brothels between 2004 and 2010, bless his cotton socks. He had faced charges of embezzlement and falsifying an official document
As well as the prison sentence he will have to pay a fine of 7,200 euros and is barred from public office for six years…
The investigation into the case included a total of 16 visits between the 20th of October, 2004 and the 23rd of March, 2010 to five different brothels spread across the provinces of Seville, Córdoba and Cádiz. Just in two nights (22nd/23rd of March, 2010) he spent a total of 14,737 euros at the Don Angelo hostess club, in the province of Sevilla.
Editorial comment: barred from holding public office for only six years? He has proved that he can’t be trusted and should be barred for life.
